The 7.3L V8 Powerstroke Diesel Engine, manufactured by International/Navistar, was a popular choice in Ford Trucks for many years. The functions of this gasket go "above and beyond" the normal call of duty for gaskets. In addition to the usual role of sealing engine oil and fumes, it incorporates built-in electrical connectors that direct current to the fuel injectors and glow plugs, which are located inside the valve covers. These gaskets also feature compression limiters, which take the guesswork out of torqueing, and installation aids that ensure proper location on the cover.
